Blogs should have a niche or theme in order to attract readers, I’m told.

I’ve decided to ignore that, because I want to write about whatever’s in my head and because I haven’t started this blog with the intention of getting readers. I don’t deny that would be nice, but really this blog is for me. If other people enjoy it, great, but that’s not my aim.

I make no promises regarding how often new content will be published. It will depend on what I have going on in real life and if there’s anything I even want to write about.

Content won’t be very personal. I’ll post some of my photography and share news stories and videos that I find interesting and/or funny.

If you follow me, please don’t be offended if I don’t follow back. There’s no way I could keep up if I did that!

I set up my own blogs with wordpress and Blogger(google one), at first I just used it for letting off steam and personal feelings etc. But then I started getting a few visits and comments and I loved it. Trying now to get more and more. It makes my site more mature and I become a little more adventurous, but best is I come across other people with similar views interests from all over the world. I would not have met yours. Brilliant feeling for me. I haven;t gone through yours fully, so much, but keep up the good quality, very good. Hope you dont mind my commenting. Thank you.

Greetings from Australia — I came to your blog through the Weekly Photo Challenge. I enjoyed your photos and writings. I started a blog way back in about 2003, when I worked in the US, and it was a good way for my friends/family back here to see what I was up to. I too was told that it should have a “theme”, but it wasn’t intended to be that way. Like you, I post about whatever comes to mind. Keep on with what YOU want to do.

Thank you, that’s a big compliment! I think people think the only way you’ll get readers is by writing about a particular theme, but I’ve found that isn’t the case. I was astonished to notice earlier that I have 351 email subscribers!

I like your approach to your blog. I have one the same and it is great to write about whatever is interesting me at the time!
I also liked your bucket list. Many of your ‘experiences’ could be realised in Australia!

  6. I came a cross your blog via a wonderfully circuitous route; facebook>underground guerilla signs>your comment & link.
I like your style and your photos. 😉

I love the ‘About me’ and your philosophy for the blog! A blog IS a place for whatever comes to your head. Well, at least my blog’s like that too!
