A friend at work sent me an email to this news story today, and the link was possibly the most intriguing I’ve ever read: http://uk.news.yahoo.com/killer-sharks-invade-golf-course-oz-012405533.html. Killer sharks? Golf course? What is this craziness?
A few years ago, a group of bull sharks found their way to a lake in the Carbrook Golf Course in Brisbane when a river flooded. (The article doesn’t explain why the sharks were in the river in the first place, unfortunately). The sharks have set up home in the lake at the 14th tee, eating the fish in the lake, and have even begun to breed.
Being Australians, the punters don’t seem to mind too much and in fact, it’s become a bit of a draw.
Watch the video on the link, it’s worth it.
