Woolacombe trip August 2011, a set on Flickr.
I just got back from a bank holiday camping and surfing trip to Woolacombe in Devon.
The surf was pretty rough the first day and none of us had much luck, but I went back in the second day when conditions were much better, and managed to stand up for about three seconds.
On the last evening we ate fish and chips on the beach watching the sunset, and at night we marvelled at the stars. There’s so little light pollution there that we could see literally thousands of stars and could even make out the Milky Way. I wish that would show up on my camera!
