- Birds keep falling out of the sky. First in Arkansas, now in Sweden. (Actually first in the tv programme Flashforward last year, but that’s neither here nor there.) This is a bit disturbing. It’s like something from the Book of Revelation.
- Why do things get misquoted? I was watching Crocodile Dundee for the first time and the famous line isn’t ” That’s not a knife. This is a knife!”, it’s actually “That’s not a knife. That’s a knife!” Not very different, admittedly, but I wonder why the wrong version lives on in pop culture. Maybe because it’s better written.
- Starbucks have unveiled their new logo. I don’t like it. It looks much better in black. That said, I don’t drink coffee, so I don’t care all that much. I just like the original logo because it’s different.
- With all the agricultural advances humanity has made over the centuries, is it still not possible to grow onions that don’t make you cry? If not, can we make it a priority? Stuff feeding the starving!
